Family and Consumer Club
Established in September 2024, the Family and Consumer Club provides students with hands-on opportunities to develop essential skills through weekly workshops in cooking, sewing, communication and more, based on student interests. Open to students in grades 7-12, the club meets on Tuesdays after school until 3:30 p.m.
Advisory Committee
An FCS Program Advisory Committee has been established to gather input from parents, students, and community members on the direction of the program. The committee meets twice per school year.
Awards
Family and Consumer Sciences awards are presented to outstanding eighth- and twelfth-grade students during the award ceremonies held in May. These honors include:
- Academic Achievement in Family and Consumer Sciences
- Family and Consumer Club Award
- The Emerson and Dorothy Stevens Memorial Award (12th grade only)
